ST. ALBERT SINGERS (SAS)

This adult mixed choir tackles a broad range of material that is always challenging, inspiring and enjoyable for their audience. They have recorded a cassette and two CDs. The choir makes community appearances and presents a major Christmas and Spring Concert each year. As with all the guild choirs, this founding member choir works hard on vocal production, blend, use of breath, choreography and a whole lot of energized singing. This choir also enjoys touring -- optional, but you may not want to miss out! Membership is limited to 70 singers. We are currently accepting members for male & lower female voice parts only but will add other female voices to our waiting list on a first-come-first-served basis.

ST. ALBERT WOMEN'S VOCAL ENSEMBLE (SAWVE)

This dynamic and energetic group of women sings an eclectic mix of styles representing various traditions and cultures. The focus is on vocal production, breath management and expressive phrasing with a touch of fun thrown in to boot. Yes, this group even learns some choreography on occasion. SAWVE works towards 2 major concerts a year and some community appearances. Touring with this choir is optional but oh so fun! Membership is limited to 50 singers.

ST. ALBERT YOUTH SINGERS (SAYS)

Grades Six to Eleven


This group gets the chance to make new friends outside of school, support one another and work towards proper vocal production while being effective and expressive performers. The Youth Singers have wowed audiences with hip hop dancing, their own take on Stomp and even a genuine South African Gumboot dance.

ST. ALBERT SINGERS CHILDREN’S CHOIR (SASCC)

Grades Three to Five


Sing in two-part harmony, learn some awesome show choir moves and perform at the Christmas and Spring Concerts! This group has performed with Canadian children’s entertainer Norman Foote, has inspired audiences at the Northern Alberta Children’s Festival outdoor stage and manages to tour local schools on one day each year.

ST. ALBERT LITTLE SINGERS (SALS)

Kindergarten to Grade Two


For children who love to sing and move a little, this program offers a chance to sample a wide variety of music, learn some choreography and experience the thrill of performance. As with all the Guild choirs, the Little Singers will focus their energy on getting ready for one major performance in December and one in the spring, This choir often performs with the other junior choirs. Our “littles” usually steal the show! They get their chance to shine with many excerpts from "Mary Poppins" this spring on the Arden stage.
